Powered Flight started in February 2006 with one Robinson RH-22 Helicopter.
Through the support of all our clients, we now have several Robinson RH-22 and RH-44 helicopters. In January 2011, we moved into our half, of a new 2400 square meter hangar.

NIGHT RATING
A night rating is a valuable aid to a pilot. In order to be issued with a night rating in South Africa, the following requirements need to be met
PRIVATE & COMMERCIAL GROUND PILOT SCHOOL
We offer one-on-one training, this focus is more effective than group sessions. Should one wish to self-study, tuition will be available in the event one needs assistance
COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE – HELICOPTER
This is the professional license which enables you to fly for remuneration. There are a number of reasons for gaining a CPL, although the main reason is to launch a career as a professional helicopter pilot
INSTRUMENT RATING
The Instruments (IF) Rating teaches pilots how to fly and navigate with reference to instruments only.The practical flying for the IR includes a minimum of 40 hours of instrument flight instruction, of which one can do 20 hours n our CAA approved FNPT simulator.
INSTRUCTOR RATING
Once one has obtained an instructor rating one will be permitted to act as an instructor doing helicopter pilot training. One may start the training towrds instructor rating while building hours towards one ‘s Commercial Pilot License.
GAME CAPTURE RATING
We specializes in all aviation based aspects of wildlife capture, including mass capture, darting and counting of game and RH-44 Helicopter Services
SLING RATING
The Sling Rating entails training a pilot to operate a helicopter with a load suspended from a hook under the helicopter.
